Course Description
This course introduces students to the major poetry and prose of John Milton (1608-1674), the greatest English poet of the middle seventeenth century. Readings will include: a selection of sonnets and shorter lyric poems, Lycidas, Comus, Areopagitica, Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, and Sampson Agonistes.
